We are Jos Meijer and Berry Visser. Since 2010 we have been living in Saint Firmin sur Loire, France, 1500 meters from the gite and studio Les Giraudors. We left for this place with in mind the search for peace in the 'flat' country in France. And it worked. Jos finally realized her dream and became a shepherd.

Berry has worked as a dog trainer / instructor for the past twenty years. In and around Les Giraudors and Les Beaunoirs he organizes workshops in various disciplines concerning dog sports. Hunting dog training, tracking, detection, dog dance, etc. He invites trainers / instructors who have earned their spurs in their specialization. He is also responsible for the ins and outs of Les Giraudors.

Les Giraudors, a hamlet of four houses, is located 5 km from the Loire in Saint Firmin sur Loire on more than 1 hectare of land. As you have already understood, Les Giraudors is located in a very quiet area. This does not mean that there is nothing to do. Besides hiking, canoeing, cycling along the Loire and other sports activities, you can also visit the castles on the Loire. Visiting antique and flea markets is also a fun activity for many. Pont Canal, designed by Monsieur Eifel, is well worth a visit. It is an aqueduct over the Loire with the terrace of Monsieur Chocolat as a reward at the end. Paris is around the corner, so to speak. From Gien or Montargis, the center of Paris can be reached by train and metro in an hour and a half.

Your dog is welcome with us. The house has a closed area where dogs can run loose.
